As a mother of 3, I know the importance of finding and using the best diaper possible for your little ones.
Now, I will say this, I have never, ever, ever used cloth diapers!!!
Ok, so with that being said, I wanted to share my opinions on which diapers I thought were the best. Rating them on a 5 star scale...5 is the best!
My thoughts are based on:
Price (State of MI)
Fit
Absorbency
Overall Quality
When I had my daughters, who are now 10 & 8, I ONLY thought to use Papers. They are "Pediatrican & Hospital Recommended", and my mom told me that's all she used when my sister and I were babies. Well, times have changed lol. And now that we have our sweet baby boy, I have had to make some adjustments. For his sake, and our pockets :) I have used Pampers, Well Beginnings (Walgreens), Up & Up (Target), & Meijer Baby.
Pampers

Once my little man was born, we used nothing but Pamoers - Swaddlers, and then Baby Dry.
The price ranges from $8.99 (jumbo pack) to $34.99 (giant pack). Usually I would make sure that I had a coupon when purchasing Pampers...I'm always looking for ways to save! {coupon post coming soon!}
With the "swaddlers" the fit was always just right, and we never had an issue with leakage. But once our little one started getting bigger, lol, we switched him out of "swaddlers" and into "baby dry". Pampers is said to have "up to 12 hours of protection" against leaks. With that being said, even though he didn't sleep for 12 hours at night, we always made sure he had on a fresh, dry diaper before bed. 90% of the time he would wake up soaked!
The sizes for "baby dry" (with most of the diapers) will not really match with your baby's weight. For instance, size 6 is for 35lbs. or more, even though our little guy isn't 35lbs (yet lol) a size 5 is too small!
Walgreens

So during a quick trip to Walgreens, I came across a tril pack of their Well Beginnings diaper & wipes for only $1! It had 2 diapes and a small pack of wipes...perfect! Their jumbo pack is $8.79, and they are usually always on sale - 2/$14, or buy one get one 50% off. And if you catch it at a good time, you can find a coupon on coupons.com for $1.50 off!
Their fit is a little wider than Pampers, but always snug & secure. There are times where they had the tendency to "shift" causing some leakage, but that was with a full diaper. Overall, these were a good choice, but that was only until I discovered Up & Up!
Target

The first time I tried Target brand diapers, they were given to me through a "Mom's Outreach" program that offered free diapers every 2 weeks. Once, I figured out that they were Target diapers, I decided to purchase a pack to further "test" them out.
We have been using them since he was about 6 months old, and have never had a leak! They are very strong & absorbent, and the closures are snug wrap around him completely! And considering that they are only $6.99 for a jumbo pack, giving them a 4 out of 5 was easy!
Meijer

In a recent grocery trip to Meijer, it dawned on me that we were on our last 2 diapers, and that I needed to grab a pack lol! On this specific day, the Meijer Baby jumbo pack diapers were on sale for $5.97!!! I have noticed that since that day, they have been on dale quite often for that price, with a regular price of $6.99.
Meijer Baby brand diapers are very very similar to the Up & Up (Target) diapers. Their fit is great, and we have yet to experience a leak!
Whew! That was alot lol! But...I had to be thorough!
So, which diapers have you used, or plan to use?
