School Day/Week Prep

Now that school is back in full effect, I have had to adjust my nights to include school day prep. In the past, I would make sure that everything was in good order the Sunday prior. And anything that needed to be adjusted would be handled the night before.

But since the children are older now, I have placed that responsibility on them. ~ (With a watchful eye of course!) ~ There are a number things that I look to have them complete each night as well as an order to our mornings. So I figured I'd share a bit of that with you!

Night Before

* School clothes (in our case - uniforms) laid out w/ all undergarments

* Backpacks prepper - any signed papers & all homework put away

* Begin lunches - pack anything that's not refrigerated

Morning Routine

* Wake & make bed - it is a MUST that their beds are made

* Get washed & dressed - I make sure the kids

* Breakfast

* Complete lunches - pack all refreigerated items

* Brush Teeth

* Shoes, coats (when necessary), and backpacks

* Head out the house!

During our mornings I always make sure that we tidy up any mess that we make, as well as make sure the house is in order before we leave out!

Once we are close to their school, I take the time to pray with my children. I pray over them, for their safety, their education, and the school itsself.

There are a handful of other things that we do on a daily basis, but I just simply wanted to share the basics...

What do you do to prepare your children for their school day?
